Changes to my study programme

Social Science Faculty, University of Chile.
As you know I study social work. On my career we study a lot of social sciences areas, for example we have some courses of economy (I and II), legal regulations, sociological theory (I y II), anthropology, psychology, philosophy, ethics, statistics and history. Also, we must study different social topics like: public policy, social intervention, planification, social movements, sustainability and social impact, epistemology, etc. As you can note my career is a very interesting and diverse field, that is one of the things I like the most about it, because all these subjects are fun to me.

This career last 4 year, after that you get your academic grade. But the program includes a 5° year in which you must do a diplomat or a magister. About the workload it's increase along the years as all the careers I think. The most part is about to read a lot of texts; the other part is about to write articles and reports. Also, we must make some presentations. Even so I think the worst part of the academic organization is the semester closure. On that time, we have a lot of work collapsed in a few weeks, I think that is a very bad time distribution.

Some changes that I would like to make on my study programmed are related to include more technology use, a strong inoculation between the technology and public policies or social interventions for example. I think there is a great field to explore to social science, and it can help us to improve the live conditions of people through this. To me this is a signal of a gap or lag in focus of our study programs.

About faculty infrastructure, I dream about the day we have a library that is open 24 hrs. on exams period, or less with couch and comfortable chairs and study rooms where we can talk without bothering others.

So in this entry I'm going to tell you about my experience learning English at university. It was pretty cool I might say. Study English, and other languages in general, is an activity that's very fun and interesting to me. I suppose the different accents sound cool to me, and I want to learn those all. So, learning English at the uni was a great experience, but there are some things that would be better. For example: I would like to have more opportunities to speak with other classmates, make some video doing an interview to a native speaker or something like that, because I think one of the things that really helps us to improve is to have conversation with level up speakers. Hi, in this post I’m going to tell you some random things. First of all, I have a cat and his name is León. He arrived to my home around a year ago. On the firsts days all my family believed that she was a girl, but the next days we noted that actually she was he! So, we have to change his name to a propped one. After that my cat has grown up so much. I love him, but something he makes me angry because he likes to jump to my bed with dirty paws! D: Another thing that I liked to tell you about is related to my summer plans. This year I learned a lot of interesting things that I want to apply to my own live, for example: in class we learn about the Strategic Planification, it is related to public policies and private corporations, but you can used it in any project you have.
